Lil Wayne’s BET Weekend celebration apparently did not go as he wanted and Weezy slugged a club bouncer during his Awards afterparty that he was hosting with 2 Chainz Sunday, TMZ reports.
The bouncer filed a battery report with the LAPD against the Young Money rapper. He says Wayne confronted him when he would not let his crew into Hyde, a nightclub on Sunset in Hollywood, California. The worker was transported to a hospital where he received treatment for minor injuries.
Police are investigating and want to speak to Wayne. They say he could face a misdemeanor battery charge.
Tunechi’s camp says that the whole thing is a misunderstanding. They say Wayne didn’t punch the bouncer and that he worked in the rapper’s VIP section, not the front door. They say the confrontation occurred because the worker accidentally grabbed Wayne’s arm.
Weezy performed with 2 Chainz at the BET Experience Saturday and was nominated with the Atlanta rapper for Best Group at the Awards.
