Lil Uzi Vert has never been afraid to court controversy, but his upcoming Saturday Night Live appearance with Pete Davidson might rub his friend Kanye West up the wrong way.
On Saturday (April 15), the show’s official Twitter account announced that Davidson will return to host the show that made him famous on May 6, and the “Just Wanna Rock” rapper will be the musical guest. Davidson’s appearance will mark his first return to the show since May 2022, when he left as a castmember.

Uzi, who once got matching tattoos with West after Davidson’s split from West’s ex-wife Kim Kardashian, hasn’t yet commented on appearing alongside West’s former love rival.
Kanye and Lil Uzi have had a relationship that dates back years, even linking up on Travis Scott‘s “Watch” single in 2018. But if West’s fallout with Kid Cudi over his friendship with Davidson is anything to go by, the former presidential candidate will likely be none-too-pleased about Uzi’s SNL appearance.
Kim Kardashian officially filed for divorce from Kanye West on February 12, 2021. According to PEOPLE magazine, Ye was texting back-and-forth with several of his close friends amid the split, “talking things through.”
A source reportedly said Kanye believes his failed bid for president is ultimately what cost him his marriage to the reality television star and SKIMS founder.

“He’s in that place of ‘if only,’” the source said. “‘If only I had done this, if only I hadn’t done that.’ He’s processing things. He thinks that the presidential run was the straw that broke the camel’s back. Before that, there was hope. After that, none.”
After a messy and protracted divorce, Kim and Ye ultimately reached a divorce settlement in November 2022.
Kanye West agreed in the settlement to wire Kardashian $200,000 on the first day of each month in child support payments for the foreseeable future.
The pair have four children together. TMZ also reported that although they legally agreed to a 50/50 timeshare split, the kids will spend most of the time at home in Calabasas with Kim.

Kanye will be held responsible for paying 50 percent of the tuition and educational expenses for all four children as well as overseeing 50 percent of their security funds.
Both parties already waived off spousal support in their prenup. If there are any disagreements over matters involving the kids, Kim and Kanye agreed to legal mediation and if one party doesn’t show up, the other will have full power in the decision-making.
