Lil Uzi Vert has expressed public support for their girlfriend, City Girls rapper JT, who recently shared that she would be attending therapy.
TMZ caught up with Uzi on Tuesday (March 28), to ask them about their thoughts on JT entering therapy. The Philly rap star revealed that they are proud of the Miami rap star for putting her mental health first.
Uzi also revealed their plans to join JT at some of her upcoming therapy sessions to show full support. When asked by the reporter about any advice they had for people considering therapy, the rapper told them to love themselves and “embrace” it.
“You just gotta do it,” they said. “You just have to really embrace yourself and love yourself.”
On Monday (March 27), the City Girls rapper shared with fans that she was excited to start therapy and encouraged others to do the same. The Miami rap star opened up about her therapy journey via Twitter.
JT noted that she was thrilled about taking steps to improve her mental health.
“Super excited about starting therapy,” she wrote. “I encourage you all to do the same!”
Fans immediately rushed the City Girls rapper’s comment section to congratulate her, as well as thank her for being so open about her journey.

In other Lil Uzi Vert news, the “Money Longer” rapper made their debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where they served as the musical guest to perform their hit single “Just Wanna Rock.”
Uzi hit the stage in an all-black outfit, which only made their icy Roc-A-Fella chain shine that much brighter. The eccentric rapper was eventually flanked by a team of dancers who were also draped in black, creating a frenetic environment in the laser red haze.
Sporting a razor sharp mohawk and Balenciaga jeans, Baby Pluto took centerstage to hit their signature feverish “Just Wanna Rock” dance moves before bringing the raucous performance across the finish line.
The McVertt-produced “Just Wanna Rock” went platinum last month and has held strong on the Billboard Hot 100 for nearly six months, currently sitting at No. 19 on this week’s chart.
