Lil Uzi Vert recently linked up with Big Sean in the studio just days after Uzi turned New York City upside down during a video shoot.

Don Cannon shared photos of the studio link-up on Thursday (November 3), showing Uzi and Sean Don as they appear to be cheffing something up alongside the Generation Now co-founder.

Lil Uzi Vert and Big Sean have yet to collaborate on a song together, but their studio link-up could have fans hopeful for a possible joint effort on Baby Pluto’s forthcoming The Pink Tape despite Don Cannon saying otherwise.

In September, Cannon took to Twitch to preview Uzi’s “Stevie Wonder” single while answering fan questions. While on the topic of The Pink Tape, Cannon said the Philadelphia native would be riding solo as the album will contain no guest appearances, and he would be handling the mixing duties, not K. Lee, who helmed several of Uzi’s prior releases.

The footage of the studio link-up arrived after Uzi was in New York City filming the music video to their latest single called “Just Wanna Rock.” Clips from the video shoot show Baby Pluto, along with online personality Kai Cenat, turning up in the middle of the Big Apple streets while fans rushed over to grab a few clips of the star.

In another video, Uzi is seen hitting some dance moves in a room alongside some friends while the cameraman captured all the fun. As it stands, “Just Wanna Rock” is a single, and it’s unclear if it’ll pop up on the highly-anticipated The Pink Tape.

Lil Uzi Vert had been teasing The Pink Tape for more than a year and has been dropping breadcrumbs for his devoted fans. In an interview outside the re-opening of JAY-Z’s 40/40 Club with HipHopDX, Uzi said the original version of the album was on the verge of being released.

“Well, it’s going through its mixing process right now,” they said. “Because last time I dropped an album, it did really well. It was actually my highest-selling album, but it was experimental on the mixing part, not the actual music, so this time I went experimental with the music and traditional on the mixing.”

Since then, Uzi has continued to give fans brief updates regarding the album, claiming they were in “classic mode” at one point before eventually choosing radio silence. In May, Uzi gave fans a glimpse into their mindset and declared they had some heat stored in the chamber.

Meanwhile, Lil Uzi Vert is going on tour for the first time since 2018, and the rapper is looking to make a huge mark with his upcoming trek across North America.
