Lil Tjay has seemingly thrown shade in Gunna’s direction while celebrating the immediate impact of his latest album 222.

The Bronx rapper took to his Instagram Stories over the weekend to highlight the fact that his new project sat at No. 5 on Apple Music’s Top Albums chart.

Other albums that rounded out the top five included Taylor Swift’sSpeak Now (No. 4), Gunna’s A Gift & A Curse (No. 3), Rylo Rodriguez’Been One (No. 2) and King Von’s posthumous Grandson (No. 1).

One thing that was noticeably apparent within the screenshot was that Lil Tjay covered up Gunna’s album with a huge contemplation face emoji, which signals that he doesn’t really care for the Atlanta rapper.

Lil Tjay joins a laundry list of rappers who have ill will for the YSL artist after he was accused of snitching on Young Thug by taking a plea deal in the ongoing YSL RICO case in 2022.

Lil Babyseemingly fired shots at Gunna in a recent song snippet after allegedly unfollowing him on Instagram earlier this year. “Pussy n-ggas taking pleas/ I know Slime ain’t happy,” he rapped on the track.

In May, Lil Durkclaimed that Gunna snitched on Thugga during an appearance Akademiks’ Off The Record podcast. “That man told,” he stated. “You should’ve went in there and kept your mouth closed.”

In a January interview with Chicago’s DJ Univercity, Jim Jones added to Wunna’s woes by saying he violated a certain code that he and others like him grew up with.

“It’s definitely a touchy situation that Thug is facing,” he said. “I don’t know the whole situation, [but] from where I come from, taking a plea when you have co-defendants is really not the thing you supposed to do. If you up against a case by yourself, that’s something different. But when you’re taking a plea it’s a touchy thing.

“I don’t really want to touch too much on it because I’ve seen my n-ggas go through some of the same things, but I can say this: none of my n-ggas took a plea. They all in jail right now doing the time. They accepted what they did, they accepted who snitched on them, they accepted it all, and they all sat down and did their time.”

He added: “Nobody tried to take a plea, nobody tried to go around. N-ggas even went to trial — they did everything they could. But do that.”

“I feel like I’m back where I needed to be,” the 22-year-old said during a chat with TMZ following his album release party. “I’m back to the best of my ability and I want to take this as far as possible.”
