Lil Nas X has clapped back at social media personality Woah Vicky‘s recent claims about him — and threw Ja Rule under the proverbial bus in the process.

After telling the host of the We in Miami podcast that the “Montero” rapper needs Jesus, Vicky made a barn burner of a claim.

“I got something to say about Lil Nas X too,” she said. “I got a few friends that went to school with him, and they said he was never gay. So I know for a fact that what he’s doing is ’cause they, like, told him, like, you gotta do this now if you want … I feel like nobody’s really gay, in Jesus’s name, amen.”

That prompted Lil Nas X to take to Twitter and address the claim directly. “Who gives af what ja rule thinks at a time like this,” he wrote.

This isn’t the first time Lil Nas X has had to address rumors about his sexuality. In March, he had to respond to a pair of Twitter users who called his sexuality into question after a clip from a recent performance went viral.

A self-described Nicki Minaj “stan” account posted a clip of Lil Nas X’s set at Lollapalooza Chile, during which he performed a new Saucy Santana-assisted single, while rocking a cornrowed ponytail hairstyle and twerking on stage with his backup dancers.

The clip was paired with a caption that read: “I feel like he’s not really gay or not really that feminine it’s so forced.”

The “Montero” rapper quoted the original tweet, adding a sarcastic and dismissive caption of his own: “Oh no guys it’s the estrogen expert.”

Despite the persistent questions about his sexuality, he’s also still looking for love. During an appearance on Carpool Karaoke in March, he said he was looking outside of Hollywood to find his soulmate.

The Atlanta native sang a few of his favorite songs before opening up about his dating experience now that he’s a celebrity.

“I used to use Raya,” the “Industry Baby” hitmaker said of the popular celebrity dating app. “I think I stopped using Raya … It just like, fell off for me and I just started to meet people in person. And Raya is just very famous, everyone’s famous on there. I’ve met quite a few famous guys. I think I’ve come to know that I don’t like dating famous people.”

Lil Nas X then confirmed that a few of his aforementioned dates had previously appeared on Carpool Karaoke. Corden then asked if it was popular crooner “Michael Bublé.”

“I’m not going to tell you… Michael Bublé?! … Yeah, yeah,” Lil Nas X said. “You caught me. Could you imagine? Michael Bublé is gay?… He’s hot and he’s got a hell of a voice.”
