Lil Nas X Almost Hit With Sex Toy In Onstage Attack

Lil Nas X isn’t your average musician — from the very beginning, he distinguished himself as someone who elicits the funniest, most outrageous responses, but this could potentially work against him too.

During his headlining set at Lollapalooza Stockholm on Saturday (July 1), the 24-year-old noticed an item flying toward him from the crowd. When it landed at his feet, he stopped the show to take a closer look at what it was.

“Who threw they pussy onstage?” he asked upon realizing it was a vaginal sex toy.

This got some laughs from the audience as the singer didn’t seem too upset himself, but that most likely won’t have been the case if the object actually hit him.

The incident follows a string of similar cases that involve audience members throwing things at performers on stage. The trend isn’t specific to Hip Hop, as artists such as Kelsa Ballerini and Bebe Rexha have recently been hit in the face, with the latter even needing stitches.

“Throwing phones? That’s terrible. You about to throw your phone? That’s terrible. I don’t think phones should be thrown,” DaBaby recently said regarding Rexha’s injury.

Last year, A$AP Rocky was struck in the face by a flying cell phone during a show in Latvia. He temporarily stopped the show, but to everyone’s surprise, he then beckoned the man who threw the phone to come on stage and give him a hug.

“You almost hit me with that phone and caught my face. You gotta be careful baby,” Rocky said with his hand on the fan’s shoulder. “I love you too. So you ready to go crazy?… look no more throwing phones man.”

Artists have been reacting differently to having objects hurled at them—some throw them back while others ignore it or just make a joke—but the key takeaway is that it could hurt someone and should thus be avoided.
