Lil Nas X went all out for Halloween by dressing up as Nicki Minaj from her “Super Bass” video, but not everybody was a fan of the look. On Saturday (October 31), Dave East took to his Instagram Stories to comment on the “Old Town Road” hitmaker’s costume choice.
“And y’all was mad at me about this n-gga,” East wrote below a photo comparing Lil Nas X’s outfit to Minaj’s.
He added in the next story, “BATI MON. BUN UP!!!!” along with a facepalm emoji.
Lil Nas responded to East’s comments by calling him out for being homophobic and correcting his spelling of Jamaican Patois.
“It’s ‘batty man,'” he wrote on Twitter. “N-ggas can’t even be homophobic the proper way smh butchering the hell out of the patois.”
Shortly after, he posted another tweet telling people to let him live in peace, writing, “Bro I don’t bother a soul in this industry. All I do is tweet and make bangers. Leave me alone damn.”
This isn’t the first time East and Lil Nas have exchanged words. In April 2019, East criticized the quality of “Old Town Road” while questioning the integrity of current Hip Hop music.
“This fucking ‘Old Town Road’ shit is fucking wack,” East said. “I don’t know what the fuck is going on with Hip Hop [or] rap. I ain’t no hater man, but that shit is wack with a cape on it. It’s super wack.”
Days later, Lil Nas acknowledged his comments in an interview on the Zach Sang Show, saying, “I have the No. 1 song in the country. I do not give a fuck about what Dave East is saying.”
50 Cent Trolls Young Buck Again By Suggesting 'Love Connection' With Lil Nas X
East wasn’t the only rapper to share his thoughts on Lil Nas’ Halloween look. 50 Cent reacted to the photos in shock and took the opportunity to mention Young Buck and his alleged relationship with a transgender woman.
“What the fuck, Nikki come get him !!! Lol,” 50 wrote, with Lil Nas responding, “Why u in barb business?”
50 added, “I think young Buck & lil nas x might make a love connection, if he get a BBL LOL. He look like his last lover. junior is that you junior?”
Dave’s right the song’s super wack, but if Lil Nas X wants 2 dress up like Nicky who cares. Most of these rapper dress up like gangbangers, and rap ’bout the real n199az they f*ck with. So, not that different from Lil Nas X…..LOL

I got no problem with gay people. They leaving more women for us. I do wish they would drop the flamboyant shit because it creates more division than unity.
