Lil Durk has set the record straight after he appeared to rap about drinking urine on a leaked Drake collaboration.

Over the weekend, the Chicago native’s allegedly scrapped verse on Drizzy’s latest single “Search & Rescue” surfaced online, and it raised eyebrows thanks to a line about him being open to drinking his girlfriend India Royale’s pee.

“I’m worse than Kevin Gates, I’m me/ India know I’m down to drink pee,” he spit, referencing the Baton Rouge rapper’s confession that he once drank a woman’s pee while driving.

Gates also said during an interview with Bootleg Kev last year that he’d love to drink Beyoncé’s urine, calling her “one of the most beautiful women in the world.”

According to Durk, however, fans didn’t listen closely enough to his leaked verse. In a comment on Akademiks’ Instagram page, the OTF frontman clarified that he was actually rapping about drinking lean as his “pee” lyric carried over into the next line of his verse.

“Down to drink p—— op (pop) as in soda mix it with the lean … Just sometimes [crying face emoji],” he wrote.

Smurk also referenced the lyrics confusion on Twitter, adding: “These n-ggas gossip and pillow talk more then females.”

If his verse was indeed meant for “Search & Rescue,” Lil Durk missed out on yet another hit record with Drake. The Kim Kardashian-sampling song peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and remains the most-played track at U.S. Rhythmic radio, according to Chart Data.

Durk and Drizzy have no shortage of collaborations, though, having previously teamed up for “Laugh Now Cry Later” in 2020 and “In the Bible,” off the latter’s 2021 album Certified Lover Boy.

The pair’s fruitful partnership even riled up Durk’s bitter rival NBA YoungBoy, who took aim at Drake on the fiery “Fuck the Industry Pt. 2” last month for apparently turning down the chance to work with him out of loyalty to Durk.

“Talk to Drake ‘cross FaceTime, he wasn’t feelin’ me/ Told me that he fuck with Durk, damn, that shit was gettin’ to me/ Told me that he like the shit I’m doin’, but can’t do shit with me/ So when we cross our ways, fuck what you say, bitch, you my enemy,” he snarled.

While it remains to be seen which Drake project “Search & Rescue” will possibly land on, Lil Durk is fresh off the release of his latest effort, Almost Healed, which helped him reach a new milestone in his ascendant career.

Boasting appearances from J. Cole, Future, 21 Savage and more, the album debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 with 125,000 first-week units — his largest sales tally as a solo artist.
