Lauryn Hill has reunited The Fugees for what might be their last show ever.

Questlove was present at the Roots Picnic on Saturday (June 3) and took a video of the once-in-a-lifetime reunion.

“What A Night. In 1993 an unknown band called the Fugees (at the request of the record label i interned at @ruffhouserecords) opened up for us at #TheTrocodero in Philadelphia—-this was one of their first gigs since signing to a major label,” he began. “They were there to help us celebrate our signing to @geffenrecords. Their #BluntedOnReality got released in early 93. We got our deal in Dec 93 & man…”

He continued: “Now 30 years later & look at us now. What a journey. @MsLaurynHill did us a solid by letting us not only letting us celebrate with her the classic #MiseducationOfLaurynHill but she also made a moment by bringing together her bredren @WyclefJean & @PrasMichel ……in what could possibly be one of the last times we will see this institution together in this setting.”

J. Period, the tour DJ for Black Thought, was also in attendance and took a video from a different angle. Check them both out below.

Back in September 2022, word of a potential Fugees reunion tour had begun picking up steam, but the tour ultimately was put on ice when Pras was hit with federal money laundering charges.

The Grammy Award-winning MC’s legal troubles made it impossible for the tour to continue. The legendary Hip Hop trio performed just one date in New York City last year before pulling the plug.

And though Pras pleaded not guilty to the charges, he was ultimately found guilty on ten counts in April 2023, including conspiracy to defraud the U.S., witness tampering, and acting as an unregistered agent of a foreign government. He faces up to 20 years in prison.

A sentencing date has not yet been set.

Meanwhile, Wyclef Jean is dealing with some medical issues of his own.

Back in March 2022, he was hospitalized for a night, and said the issues began after he returned to Los Angeles from Miami.

‘Clef sought care from his family doctor after he began to feel numbness on the right side of his face and was immediately sent to the ER.

Once at the hospital, Dr. Waleed Lashin conducted some tests and immediately requested an overnight stay for the Haitian rapper, with his face numbness deemed the result of stress-related exhaustion.

The update comes after Wyclef Jean posted a video on Instagram on March 13 showing himself being rolled away in a wheelchair, admitting he wasn’t properly taking care of himself.

“Sometimes we forget that our body is our temple,” Wyclef wrote in the post. “Be back soon.”

All of these issues have led critics to speculate that Lauryn Hill’s performance with The Fugees just might be the last-ever…but only time will tell, for sure, if this is the case.
