Speaking to XXL about her career so far, the “Big Energy” hitmaker named her fellow Atlanta native as the feature she most desires.

She said: “Who do I really want to collaborate with right now? You want to know who I’ve been saying lately? I want to bring André 3000 out of retirement.

“I got a song for André right now that will go so fuckin’ crazy. And I’m really just trying to pull all strings, so hopefully, this can reach André somehow. I want André on my album.”

Latto also listed off some of the big-name collaborations she’s already put down on record: “Anything is possible for me. I think people will be having a whole different respect when my name is brought up like, other artists, like the OGs. I got a song with Mariah Carey. I got a song with Lil Wayne. I got a song with Childish Gambino. J. Cole fuck with me.

“I be getting DMs from all types of people where I be like, Oh, damn. But I think they know that, like how I was saying earlier, l’m really passionate about this shit. They know I’m not like play, play about music. They know I’m really here to stay.”

André 3000 recently released his debut solo album, 17 years after OutKast’s last full-length project. The album, titled New Blue Sun, is entirely instrumental and features 3 Stacks playing the flute.

In a press release for the project, the ATLien defended his unorthodox return to music and explained why he hadn’t made a rap record.

“There’s this misconception that I just won’t do it. I think people feel like I’m sitting around on rap albums, or sitting around and I’m just not putting them out in that way. And no it’s not like that,” he said.

“In my mind, I really would like to make a rap album. So maybe that happens one day, but I got to find a way to say what I want to say in an interesting way that’s appealing to me at this age.”
