Krayzie Bone Reacts To Layzie Bone’s Bone thugs-n-harmony departure

Last week, Bone thugs-n-harmony’s Layzie Bone announced his departure from the Grammy award-winning group via Twitter (August 28). In an exclusive interview with HipHopDX, Krayzie Bone shared his thoughts on Layzie’s exodus.

“It is what it is,” Krayzie said. “He has his reasons. We’re still going to support him and everything he does. He’s actually going to be performing with us at Rock The Bells. I guess he needs to step away because there are some things he wants to do as a man, and as men, we can’t do nothing but respect that. We’re going to continue as a team and keep moving forward with this grind.”

Bone thugs-n-harmony recently announced that they’ve signed to eOne Entertainment, as well as an upcoming Midwest tour with Ty Dolla $ign. The group is also slated to perform during Rock The Bells 2013. Layzie Bone’s exit may have shocked fans. But Krayzie says he wasn’t “really surprised.”

“It’s just that with Bone, man, anything happens all the time,” he told DX exclusively. “I’ve been knowing these dudes all my life. Anything can happen with Bone thugs-n-harmony and it’s never stopped the movement of the brand. It’s never stopped the fans from loving the brand, so we’re going to continue moving with it. We’re gonna continue to carry on the legacy. I’m really not gonna sweat it like it’s the end of the world. The fans aren’t really concerned about any drama that surrounds the group. All they care about is what they hear. It’s never really been about this person or that person. We’ve heard this before. It is what it is.”

Away from the group, Krayzie Bone is excited about the future of his clothing line, The Life Apparel, as well as upcoming opportunities in film. “I’m looking into expanding my clothing line, getting into the movie thing—behind and on the scene,” he said. “We have too much going on to be focused on anything negative right now. We’re much older in the game now. We don’t have time to be stuck on the negative thing.”

Bone thugs-n-harmony will perform during Rock The Bells 2013, which kicks off today in Los Angeles, California. For more information on Rock The Bells, visit rockthebells.net

    1. Kb is the most talented member in bone, hes def been branching out with his buisiness the life apparel. Krayzie is building his empire i think layzie wants to do the same i just dont think he can

    2. what Peter answered I am amazed that any one can get paid $9466 in four weeks on the computer. you could look here… http://www.Cafe44.com

Meek Mill is signed to and co-signed by the correctional officer lying fraud William Roberts who has had 1 album go platinum once in his career. Brought us albums such as The Gifted and Dreams and Nightmares.

    3. (sigh)It’s the same old story with these guys. Bizzy leaves, comes back, gets kicked out, comes back, leaves again, comes back. Krayzie leaves then comes back. Flesh disses Krayzie and then they make up again. Now Layzie’s leavin’. And the cycle continues. Why can’t they just make good music and keep it 100? We ALL know he’s gonna come back in about a month. I’m tired of seeing all of this inner turmoil in the group. They’re my favorite rap group of ALL TIME and I’m just sick of the beef. Get it together Bone…….

    4. I think he knows that layzie taking a break are leaving
doesnt impact the group that much
If krayzie left himself that would be a big blow to the group

    5. nice to see they support him, I still think
layzie is making a mistake by leaving. He has never been
good on his own he is a horrible buisness man. Krayzie bone keep
      doing your thing

    6. Good to see hes doing his thing
still. Most rappers are gone after
a year or 2 this man has been in
      this industry for 20 years

    7. If theres no beef then why did he split?..If bone(ALL OF EM)got there shit together long enough to put out a real classic album(with No Bullshit Features at all).Just them vibin in the studio like E.1999.Theyd be getting allot more support theses days.I remeber buying Art of War the day it dropped.Shit flipped my wig.

      1. Just because he left doesnt mean its beef
dude wants to do his own thing on his own.
They not dropping another E99 people need to move on that. What they are doing now is what they are suppose to be doing
touring and getting paid doing features and getting paid, collecting royalties getting paid, collecting publishing getting paid

    8. I just peep out the life apparel site krayzie acctually
had some nice gear on there so he owns this clothing line?
I did not know dude was so active business wise

    9. i mean does it really matter at this point? This group has been dsyfunctional and inactive for awhile now. They should just get together and do renuion concerts from time to time….thats about it.

      1. Why should they do that when they stay touring and making money. Yea they been dsyfunctional but they are also
the most active legendary group in rap. They stay
        touring and doing features.

    10. Inactive they were just ft on asap fergs
album, they are doing rock the bells, they just finish
the everything 100 tour, krayzie bone just opening up his second
The life Apparel store and he just shoot a video with
Trae the Truth thats pretty active

    11. I would love to hear bone on some new beats I always like them
never like there beat selections, But I would anticipate a new
album from them simply because they are legends, you dont become legendary for no reason.

    12. Respect to bone thugs. They are still relevant to hiphop and they have a song with both eazy e, biggie and tupac idk if any rappers can say that!!!

    13. Just seen these niggas perform in chi they shut shit down. Midwest lets go. We got common, eminem, bone, twista,

    14. Thanks DX for never reviewing Krayzie Bone’s EP or Bizzy Bones collaboration album. That’s just the related 2013 albums that y’all have slacked on reviewing but continue hatin on the og’s of the game it’s cool.

      1. My thoughts exactly. Everyone except Wish. And if one person should leave the group permanently its Wish. He has no value, no skills. I always skip his shit. Shotz to tha double glock was his only tight verse ever. And that was over a decade ago!

      2. actually Wish left with Krayzie and then changed their minds. shit even wikipedia showed Bone Thugs as Layzie Bizzie n Flesh at that point

    15. Krayzie knows lazy is making a huge mistake. Lay is going to miss out on a lot of money from touring plus he is not good with business at all

    16. They should change there name, take the thugs out of it, maybe go back to bone enterprise. I think they would be more appealing to mainstream
