Beginning today (August 17), A3C and HipHopDX announce our “Pick 3” interactive Hip Hop showcase. Between now and September 7, DX readers will help determine which artists will be joining Random Axe, Freeway and Homeboy Sandman at HipHopDX’s A3C showcase on October 6 at Atlanta, Georgia’s Masquerade.

UPDATE: New Jersey emcee Kosha Dillz won the contest, by over 280 votes. Kosha will perform selections from Gina & The Garage Sale at this year’s A3C. He wins a travel, lodging and an honorarium, courtesy of A3C. The runner-up winner was Michigan emcee JYoung The General. J wins travel and lodging. Third place winner, North Carolina’s Joe Scudda wins an invitation to perform at this year’s showcase.

Met Kosha Dillz this year, he was nothing but smug. For an artist who claims to appreciate his fans, he sure knows how to make them feel trivial in person.
As a fan of Kosha’s I find this EXTREMELY hard to believe. Every time I’ve gone to his shows he’s been nothing but friendly and appreciative.

Final Outlaw would be a very great add to your showcase list to compete for a spot at HipHopDX. This guy is a phenomenal Emcee. A very worthy competitor, a very strong presence. Final Outlaw will certainly have dudes nervous on stage thinking twice. Great Lyracist, this guy is worthy of a shot.
Final Outlaw is one of the best Hip Hop artist making music today. He should be represented at A3c festival it would be a such a shame if he isn’t there. Having recently been a semi finalist at the Apollo and one of the first Hip Hop Artist to connect with the legendary audience, there is no doubt in my mind that he belongs in the line up!!! Don’t miss a chance to say that you were ahead of the game.

I think if Final Outlaw does not perform in this it would be a great loss to the show! Outlaw has a crazy talent for music. He can speak to you and entertain you, a talent in artists you don’t see as much now-a-days. He would be an awesome asset to hip-hop and would be a great one to this festival! I think there’s no better option here than JYoung The General! That dude has been putting in WORK! He has TWO EP’s with G-Unit in-house producer Nick Speed (50 Cent – What If, Lloyd Banks – Home Sweet Home, Talib Kweli – NY Weather Report & Tator Tot etc). He also rocked SXSW last year. He was even the special on-stage guest of One Be Lo at SXSW where he traded bars with Lo!
