The multi-hyphenate entertainer has been hospitalized for the last month with an undisclosed medical emergency while his family reportedly “hopes for the best” and are “preparing for the worst.” He was in Atlanta filming for Netflix’s Back In Action movie.
A TMZ source close to the situation earlier this month relayed that Jamie Foxx “needs all the prayers and well-wishes his fans can muster” at the moment.
Kid Cudi took to Twitter on Wednesday (May 10) with a message for the Academy Award winner. “Man, prayin for Jamie Foxx,” he wrote with a praying hands emoji.
Tyler, The Creator added to the outpouring of love for Foxx as he reposted a clip of the talented Texas native performing 1994’s “Infatuation” to his Instagram Story. “Sending love to @IamJamiefoxx,” Tyler wrote with a few heart emojis.

The 55-year-old’s hospitalization was first announced by his daughter, Corinne Foxx, last month. She revealed he had experienced an unspecified “medical complication” the day before, but was already on the mend.
“From the Foxx Family. We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday,” she said in a statement. “Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery.”
She added: “We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time. Much love, the Foxx Family.”
TMZ reported at the time that Jamie Foxx’s condition was serious enough that he had to be taken to the hospital, with members of his family visiting him. He was said to be “communicating now, and that’s good news.”
“He’s OK, thank God,” the source said. “He’s still in the hospital and doctors are running tests but he’s awake and alert. They’re keeping him under observation.”
“Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed,” Foxx wrote in his Instagram post.
