Key Glock might be done with music. The Paper Route Empire lyricist took to Twitter on Thursday (March 3) and admitted he’s trying to pursue a new career in acting.
“Finna go to acting school…doing music don’t hit da same for me anymore,” Glizock tweeted out. Fans in the comments theorized that Young Dolph’s passing last November could have negatively impacted Glock’s motivation.
Glock was visibly heartbroken once he learned of his cousin’s passing, taking a breather from music and social media before returning with a heartfelt new track in January titled “Proud.”
While he’s saying he might be done with music, Glock is still planning to hit the road this spring. The “SiriusXM Hip Hop Nation Presents: The Yellow Tape Tour” will span 33 dates and is set to kick off on April 4th in Atlanta. From there, Glock will move through Washington D.C., New York City, Philadelphia, Detroit, Chicago, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Arizona and many more cities before closing out the tour in Orlando, Florida.
First want to say long live Dolph. Nothing is wrong with growth and I wish him the best.
Him and Dolph made classic hits together. Their chemistry was like Pimp C & Bun B. Dolph is the in my opinion the best rapper out of the new generation, it was tragic to lose him like we did PAC and Big. This site doesn’t give him his proper shine cause he stayed independent.
Young Dolph was, and will always be remembered as a legend. He had many dope songs that hit the bass heard. I have so many favourite Young Dolph songs, “Drippy”, “Real life” and “Never been so in love” are just three of them. I love all his Gucci Mane and Key Glock collaborations. Young Dolph will always be one of my favourite rappers.
