    1. he needs to work on his hook game because he uses the same harmony and tone on damn near every song

      1. The hook aint that important, does he look like an R&B singer… no, he looks like a rapper, as long as his rap game is tight it’s all good. Hooks are for kids, the radio and for bitches who can’t memorize and recite lyrics.

    2. about time that gates gets some recognition. he is one of the most lyrical street rappers you are likely to find. if you haven’t heard of him yet check him out.

    3. Gates is really underrated, dude is a really diverse artist. Most people hate without doing their research, Pusha really didn’t give him a chance to really showcase the full spectrum of his talents on the track he featured Kev on. People that only know him from that track think he’s an imitation Future or some shit that is on the autotune bandwagon, do your research, dude has some classic tapes out, and the album is dope too, really kicks that street shit and gives you a glimpse of what the hustle is like in Louisiana. I think dude has a bright future in the game. Strictly opinions of course.

      1. hell yea man he been rapping since like 2006. he was on with boosie and webbie. im from louisiana so i been on this nigga. he waaaayyyyyyyyyy better than future. he jus usin the auto tune for show man. he isnt no hook artist like future is.. future wack compared to gates. all yall haters look up his old tracks bruh nigga is tha truth. glad you actually see that man.. keep bangin that gates!! southside!!
