Kendrick Lamar To Perform At 2014 Grammys

Kendrick Lamar is set to perform at the 2014 Grammy Awards

With this performance at the 56th Annual Grammys, Lamar joins a cast of performers that is also slated to include Daft Punk, Nate Ruess, Pink and Imagine Dragons.

The evening won’t only be about his performance for Lamar, who is also up for several Grammys, including Best New Artist, Best Rap Song as a featured guest on A$AP Rocky’s “F**kin’ Problems,” and Best Rap Performance for his “Swimming Pools (Drank)” single. Overall, Lamar earned seven nominations this year

Lamar recently discussed his Grammy nod for Album of the Year in an interview with Los Angeles radio station Power 106.

“That’s crazy that [good kid, m.A.A.d. city is] even in that [category] because that album is a really raw album,” Lamar said. “It’s not too much crossover, so for them to even put it in that light, that’s a win by itself…So if I take it home, [that will be] even more of a crazy feeling.”

The 56th Annual Grammy Awards event is set to air January 26 at 8 pm EST on CBS.

Lamar confirmed his appearance as a Grammy night performer via Twitter. Kendrick’s Twitter post regarding his performance can be viewed below.
