Kendrick Lamar Talks “Cartoon & Cereal,” Nardwuar & More With Murs

California rapper Murs flipped the script a bit as he switched from artist to interviewer for an interview with fellow rapper Kendrick Lamar at the Paid Dues Festival last month.
While the interview was more of a casual conversation between two artists, with subject matter ranging from Ab-Soul’s hair to Nextel phones, Kendrick did take some time to speak on the complexity of his music when asked about his track “Cartoon & Cereal.”
“I just wanted to do a little twist on just my generation. Talk about something wild, you know. But not throwing it out there and making it something that everybody can just catch on to,” Kendrick explained. “They really gotta sit and dissect it for a second.”
Kendrick also spoke on his interview with Nardwuar which took place during this year’s South By Southwest Festival. The rapper revealed that he was initially caught off guard by Nardwuar’s wealth of facts.
“That was kinda uncomfortable for a second,” said Kendrick. “It was funny though, that dudes crazy. He do some research. I was wondering if he just called a few people up that I knew.”

    1. Narduwar knows how to do a great interview. He doesn’t just go in like “hey, let me ask you common ass questions.” He shakes the shit out of artists. He’s really dope. That interview was ill. The only interview I didn’t care for was Kid Cudi’s bc Kid Cudi was all acting like an idiot, and all rude towards the end. But when you got chill artists like Kendrick and nardwar doing his thing, it’s really dope. This is how interviewing should really be done…

    2. iLLest video, discussions are just so much more organic than interviews! – Anyone like this kinda shit, go check out DeadEndHipHop on youtube, good shit!

    3. You think you understand, you think you know what it’s all about. Well here’s some reality for you: you don’t.

You’re confused, you don’t understand? You’re head is filled with questions waiting to answered but there is only one answer: none of it matters. Why? Because when tommorow arises, everything that mattered before will not matter then. Everything you see as reality will be changed indefinetely and your whole perspective of what is everything is about will be distorted and disrupted.

What is Strange Tommorow? Well, that is for us to know and for you to find out, expect us in the near future.
