Despite the heartwarming reunion, itās unlikely that Black Hippy will be reuniting on a record anytime soon.
Back in April, ScHoolboy Q appeared on an episode of The Danny Brown Show, during which he was asked if he saw himself reuniting with his fellow Black Hippy compatriots.

āIām not making no Black Hippy shit,ā he responded. āHell no. Iāll never do that shit. ā
When Danny Brown pressed, asking if he would consider doing it āfor the culture,ā Q snapped back: āFuck the culture. Aināt no culture. What is the culture? What is rap culture? What is the fucking rap culture?ā

On a more serious note, he continued: āI think weāre all kind of on our separate paths right now.Ā DotĀ is doing his own thing with pgLang. Iām doing my own thing, curating a new artist. I did that part already, I gotta have this second part ācause I got like 18 more albums to make.
āSo itās like Iām tryna figure out this phase before I get to the third phase. AndĀ Ab-Soul, heās working,Ā Jay Rockās working. I just donāt see where weāll ever have time to.ā
That was far from the first time that ScHoolboy Q said that fans would never get a Black Hippy reunion album.
While speaking with Montreality in 2017,Ā he talked about plans for his follow-up to 2016āsĀ Blank Face LPĀ and why people shouldnāt count on a Black Hippy project anytime soon.

āIām already working on my next album,ā Q said. āThe chances of us getting into the studio together and working on Black Hippy is slim. Thereās too much going on ā¦ Iām with it though. I wanna do it.ā
