Kendrick Lamar Filmed Hovering Above Pacific Ocean During Video Shoot As Album Talk Heats Up

Kendrick Lamar was spotted earlier this week in Los Angeles where he appeared to be shooting a music video — and for what, no one was quite sure. But on Thursday (September 3), video footage of K. Dot being hoisted above the Pacific Ocean surfaced online, sparking rumors his next album is imminent.

In the clip, Kendrick — dressed in all white — is surrounded by video cameras as the sun sets on the water. A yellow crane then lifts him up into the air where he dangles for several seconds.

Fans have been salivating at the idea of a follow-up to Pulitzer Prize-winning album DAMN. for roughly three years.

In May, Top Dawg Entertainment CEO Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith promised Kendrick would return “soon” and urged his fans to “stay patient.”But then Twitter attempted to cancel both J. Cole and Kendrick for seemingly not using their public platforms to support the Black Lives Matter movement.

Consequently, TDE president Terrence “Punch” Henderson Jr. responded to a comment from a fan pushing him to “tell Kendrick it’s time for the real to return” with “nah. n-ggas don’t appreciate it,” temporarily dashing everyone’s hopes for the project.

But it looks like K. Dot fandom is reaching a fever pitch following the recently posted photo, and the latest video clips are only fueling the fire that a new album is right around the corner.

    1. This is great news. Kendrick, Drake and Cole all started around 2010 and now each of them are submitting their final pieces of work to close off the decade. Then we can decide who gets takes the crown
