Kendrick Lamar‘s Grand National Tour with SZA has seen the Compton rapper break a number of records.
Following the duo’s performance at Lumen Field in Seattle on May 17, Dot can add another accolade to his extensive honors list.
The concert grossed $14.8 million, meaning Lamar has now become the first rapper in history to take in more than $14 million for a single performance.
It was the most attended gig on the tour so far with almost 61,000 fans attending.

Kendrick broke his own record with the feat after a performance at the AT&T Stadium in Dallas brought in a whopping $11.822 million in a single night.
That concert meant Lamar became the highest grossing Black man in history for a single live performance.
The record was previously held by The Weeknd, who grossed $9.8 million at his 2022 concert at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.
The opening night of the Grand National tour also saw Lamar first break the record for highest grossing rap concert in history.
According to Touring Data, the opening night in Minneapolis grossed over $9.1 million from more than 47,000 fans at an average price of $192.70.
With the concert, Lamar surpassed Eminem’s record from when the rap legend played a stadium show in Melbourne, Australia in 2019.
Lamar has not just been breaking records on the live performance front, he has been smashing through long-existed chart records also.
“Not Like Us” recently became the first ever rap song in history to spend an entire year on the Billboard Hot 100.
No other Hip Hop song has spent more than a year on the chart.
Despite being released last May, “Not Like Us” still sits at number 22 on the chart and shows no signs of dropping off any time soon as it continues to still notch up airplay and impressive streaming numbers.
Kendrick also continues to break records with SZA collaboration “Luther” which has now sat at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 for 13 consecutive weeks.
“Luther” is now one of just 15 songs to reach that milestone.
It is also the longest charting Hip Hop number one in history.
Kendrick is yet to comment on any of his record breaking achievements.
