Kanye West Scraps Playboi Carti Joint Album, Claims He Was Blocked From Being On ‘Music’

Kanye West has announced that he is pulling the plug on a planned joint album with Playboi Carti after he was allegedly blocked from appearing on Music.

Carti’s long-delayed third album finally dropped on Friday (March 14) and featured no appearances from Kanye, despite their prolific collaborations in recent years.

In a series of since-deleted tweets, the outspoken rap legend addressed his absence from the star-studded project and the consequences that it will have for his working relationship with the Atlanta native.

“Jewish business forced Carti to not put me on the album,” he wrote, before suggesting that he was also prevented from appearing on Travis Scott‘s Utopia. “Same thing happened with Trav.”

Ye then claimed that he and Carti were working on a full-length album together but he has since decided to cancel it.

“WE WERE WORKING ON PROJECT CALLED CARTI YE IM SORRY THAT THIS WONT HAPPEN NOW. From Carti’s actual twin [heartbreak emoji],” he added.

The Chicago native also posted what would have been the project’s artwork, which shows Kanye wearing a black KKK outfit next to Carti who is rocking a black hoodie and fur coat.

“Carti ain’t do nothing wrong. This how the Jewish mob practice coercion to get all my family not to work with me,” his antisemitic rant continued. “They made Ty write the words HATE SPEECH. And it’s the same thing they did with Trav.”

Kanye West has already had his say on Playboi Carti’s latest album and claimed that he was not a fan of Kendrick Lamar‘s contributions.

Despite the fact that he has worked and toured with the Compton rapper in the past and even co-produced one of the songs he features on, “Backd00r,” Ye wrote on X: “I DONT LIKE KENDRICK LAMARS MUSIC. HE RAPS VERY GOOD BUT I DIDNT NEED TO HEAR HIM ON CARTI ALBUM.”

Kendrick delivers a guest verse on “Good Credit,” on which he seemingly addresses Drake’s defamation lawsuit over his diss song “Not Like Us,” while he also has guest vocals on “Mojo Jojo” and “Backd00r.”

Yeezy did, however, show love to the songs “Crank” and “I Seeeeee You Baby Boi,” posting screenshots of him listening to both along with complimentary captions.

    1. This dusty old negro stay trying to dickride the youth. From Lil Pump to Carti. Dude is a washed up leech.

      1. He made Drake and Travis he helped push them and produce and wrote on their early projects not to mention so many other unknowns even promoting independent artists and unknown producers but all you want to do is attack him

      2. Carti is inspired by Wayne, Future, amd Young Thug. Not Kanye the Ma$e wannabe. Kanye only sounded like that when he leeching off of Kid Cudi 😭 🤣

    2. It’s clear the delay for I Am Music was UMG since reports of Kendrick working with Carti was late 2024 and the song 2024 was cut from the album also because Ye produced it. UMG didn’t want him involved and removed his involvement as much as possible replacing him with the hypocrite Kendrick. The KBots are going crazy right now they just keep defending this hypocrisy no matter what. Even worse Ye didn’t like the change Kendrick made to thr song he produced Backd00rs and even Carti fans agree

      1. You know nothing of UMG’s actual operations. You just write a bunch of nonsense hoping people as stupid as you believe it. What Carti fans agree with you because I have yet to see a single one say any of the bullshit you claim to be their truth and they damn sure seem to be happy with the album. Get off Ye and Drake’s dick and get a fucking hobby you queer bait ass loser.

    3. Leak the songs as usual. Honestly work with ITSOKTOCRY instead Carti stole his entire flow from him Carti and Yeat both copied him.

    4. If Drake was smart he’d leave UMG no matter what happens with his lawsuit and then does a collab album with Ye it’s his only way to comeback he has to leave Nocta Nike too. Bring back that Wolves project.

    5. Rolling Loud bout to get sued by Faze probably go bankrupt. Karma they didn’t show Ye love so this is what happens.
