Kanye West has said he’s fallen back in love with music while working on his new album Bully, and it’s all thanks to one special person.
During a social media posting spree on Instagram on Monday (January 20), the rap legend credited his eldest daughter, North, with rekindling his interest in making beats — for both her and himself.

Alongside a picture of 11-year-old North in a recording studio, Ye wrote on Instagram: “This little girl made me love music again [smiling face with tears emoji]. She asked me to make beats for her I got back on the ASR Chopped up beats for her album and chopped every beats with my bare hand for BULLY.”
West also shared a short clip of his daughter making her own beat on an ASR-10 sampling keyboard alongside his cousin and fellow artist Tony Williams, captioning it “training.”
Flaunting his renewed love for Hip Hop, the Chicago native also paid tribute to Master P, who he called his “hero,” and shared screenshots of himself listening to classic songs from Scarface and Souls of Mischief.
Kanye West has been hard at work on Bully over the last few months and has even teased a reunion with former close collaborator Mike Dean on his upcoming 11th solo album.
In a series of Instagram posts earlier this month, Yeezy shared two photos from his legendary The Life of Pablo premiere at Madison Square Garden in 2016 — one featuring himself and Dean, and the other of himself and Tony Williams.

Both were simply captioned “BULLY,” along with the peeping eyes emoji.
Dean has been estranged from West since around 2022 when the controversial rapper began associating with far-right figures and going on increasingly antisemitic rants.
If the decorated producer and mixing engineer is indeed working on Bully, it would be their first collaboration since Donda, though West was previously said to be producing the album entirely on his own.
“It’s a concept album and he plans to be the only producer on it,” journalist Touré reported last year. “Traditionally, Kanye is the product of a team, there are producers helping him, there are writers helping him, he comes with the big ideas but there’s others in.

“Not this time. This time, Kanye is gonna make this pretty much by himself. A fresh chapter in his life because in Tokyo he can be who he wants to be.”
While a release date has yet to be announced, Kanye has teased a handful of songs from Bully and unveiled the cover art, which is a close-up black-and-white photo of his 9-year-old son Saint.

The image shows Saint rocking fanged grills similar to those Ye purchased last year, which reportedly involved him spending $850,000 to remodel his teeth with titanium.
