Kanye West has shown Kendrick Lamar some love after the Compton rapper completely swept the 2025 Grammy Awards with “Not Like Us.”

The chart-topping diss track, aimed at Kendrick and Kanye’s mutual enemy Drake, won five awards on Sunday night (February 2), the most ever for a rap song.

As well as winning the approval of the Recording Academy’s voting committee, Kendrick also received some public props from his “No More Parties In L.A.” collaborator Kanye after his historic night.

In a since-deleted post on Instagram, Ye posted a picture of the GNX MC on the red carpet posing with all of his Grammys, captioning it: “Gemini season” along with a goat emoji.

Kanye appeared to be in a magnanimous mood as he also thanked the Grammys, with whom he’s had issues in the past, for nominating his own Billboard Hot 100 hit “Carnival” for Best Rap Song.

The Chicago native went home emptyhanded after “Carnival” lost to “Not Like Us,” but he still made headlines thanks to his wife Bianca Censori’s provocative outfit choice.

The model, who he’s been married to since 2022, shocked everyone by removing her fur coat on the red carpet, revealing a see-through slip that exposed her naked body to the world.

It was rumored that Censori’s outfit (or lack thereof) resulted in her and Kanye being kicked out of the venue, but a source close to the Grammys told Variety that the speculation was “not true” and that Ye simply “walked the carpet, got in his car and left.”

Meanwhile, Kendrick Lamar became just the second rapper to win both Record of the Year and Song of the Year at the Grammys following Childish Gambino in 2019.

“Not Like Us” also took home Best Rap Performance, Best Music Video and the aforementioned Best Rap Song. It’s the first diss track to win a Grammy, further writing Kendrick into the history books.

It was also a big night for his former TDE labelmate, Doechii, as her mixtape Alligator Bites Never Heal won Best Rap Album over more recognizable names such as Future and Metro BoominEminem and J. Cole.

Kendrick’s close collaborator and upcoming tourmate SZA also added some silverware to her collection, securing Best R&B Song for “Saturn.”

The two are set to perform at the Super Bowl next Sunday (Feburary 9) before hitting the road together for their Grand National Tour.
