Kanye West has been condemned for defending Diddy‘s brutal assault on Cassie and selling hoodies worn by the singer during the attack.
During his lengthy, hate-filled rant on X (formerly Twitter) this past weekend, Kanye attempted to justify the disgraced mogul’s actions by framing it as an act of “true love.”

“When [a] man truly loves a [woman] he may express it in rage. I empathize with both sides,” he wrote, before adding: “You have to truly be in love to get to the point of risking everything.”
The controversial rapper and fashion designer also asked his 35 million-plus followers: “HEY QUESTION. IF SOMEONE WAS TO BEAT UP THEIR GIRL IN PUBLIC WOULD THAT BE CONSIDERED DOMESTIC VIOLENCE OR IS IT JUST PUBLIC INDECENCY.”

He then posted a screenshot from the widely-seen security footage of the 2016 incident and added: “… IM JUST ASKING FOR A FRIEND.”
Ye continued to defend Diddy from the fallout of the footage, as well as his federal sex trafficking case and mounting sexual assault lawsuits, by writing: “WHEN I SEE THE PUFF CASSIE VIDEO REPOSTED IT DOESNT CHANGE THE FACT THAT THEY ARE TRYING TO MAKE AN EXAMPLE OUT OF HIM LIKE THE GRAMMIES DID TO DRAKE.”

The 47-year-old took things one step further by announcing that he had begun selling the same hoodie that Cassie could be seen wearing during the vicious attack on his website.
Dubbed the “Love Hoodie” — an apparent nod to Diddy’s Brother Love alias — it features the same 13th Century monastic symbol as the artwork for his 2015 single “All Day.”

Ye later bragged that he had sold over 1,500 units of the hoodie since his aforementioned posts, netting him over $30,000 in revenue.
Cassie has yet to comment on Kanye’s inflammatory moves, but he was widely scolded on social media, with some users calling him “evil” and one claiming that he is “going to Hell.”

Kanye West’s Twitter tirade began last Thursday (February 6) with a public show of support of Diddy, who is currently in jail awaiting trial on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution.
“FREE PUFF,” he wrote, before taking aim at Diddy’s detractors: “ALL THESE CELEBRITY N-GGAS AND BITCHES IS PUSSY. YALL A WATCH OUR BROTHER ROT AND NEVER SAY SHIT.”

Ye then called on help from President Donald Trump, who he recently reaffirmed his support for, writing: “@realDonaldTrump PLEASE FREE MY BROTHER PUFF.”
West’s days-long rant also saw him declare himself a “racist” and a “Nazi” who “loves Hitler,” continually attack Jewish people, and even post pornographic content.

His X account has since disappeared, though Kanye has said that he will be launching his own Discord channel, presumably to continue his spree of hateful posts.
