Kanye West could lose joint custody of his children with Kim Kardashian as the reality star is reportedly considering taking legal action against her ex-husband.
The former couple currently share joint custody of their four kids, but Kardashian is said to be incensed by Kanye’s decision to put their daughter North on a song with accused sex trafficker Diddy without her permission.

According to TMZ, their custody arrangement states that they both have equal say in regards to their children, but Ye explicitly went against Kardashian’s wishes in featuring 11-year-old North on the controversial song.
The outlet claims that the former couple’s divorce settlement sets out that conflicts between West and Kardashian must go to a private judge to be resolved.

Allegedly, the SKIMS founder attended mediation with her legal team and agreed with Kanye’s attorneys that North would not appear on any song with Diddy if it was released to the public.
However, this did not stop the rap legend from releasing the track on social media this past weekend. It’s called “Lonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine” and also features Diddy’s son Christian Combs, singer Jasmine Williams and Ye himself.

As a result of the song and other recent controversies involving West, including his recent embrace of Nazism, Kardashian is reportedly considering initiating legal action, seeking to strip her ex-husband of his legal joint custody of their children.
Neither Kardashian nor West have yet commented on the report.

After releasing the song in question, Kanye posted screenshots of a heated text message exchange he had with his ex-wife.
In the messages, Ye writes: “I’m never speaking with you again,” seemingly in reference to a dispute they were having over the trademark to North’s name.
Kardashian then replies: “I asked you at the time if I can trademark her name. You said yes. When she’s 18 it goes to her. So stop. I sent paper work over so she wouldn’t be in the Diddy song to protect her.”
She continues: “One person has to trademark. We agreed when they were born I would get all of our kids names and trademarks so no one else would take them.”

Kanye hits back: “Amend it or I’m going to war. And neither of us will recover from the public fallout. You’re going to have to kill me.”
In a separate X post, Ye also attacked the reality star for allegedly impeding his ability as a parent.

He wrote: “I DONT WANT TO JUST ‘SEE’ MY KIDS. I NEED TO RAISE THEM. I NEED TO HAVE SAY SO OF WHERE THEY GO TO SCHOOL AND WHO THEIR FRIENDS ARE AND WHOS [sic] HOUSES THEY SLEEP OVER.
“ALL THESE RIGHTS HAVE BEEN TAKEN FROM ME BY THE KARDASHIAN MOB HULU AND DISNEY AND THE BIGGER AGENDA TO USE THE SELECTIVELY BRED BLACK CHILDREN TO BE PLATFORMS TO INFLUENCE BLACK PEOPLE.”
West later added: “JUST SEEING MY KIDS IS LIKE VISITATION.”
