Kanye West is an expert when it comes to getting people’s attention — whether he’s shouting 400 years of slavery “sounds like a choice” on TMZ Live, tearfully confessing he tried to get Kim Kardashian to abort their daughter or not dropping his albums.
Most recently, he hosted a third public listening party for Donda in his hometown of Chicago where he brought out two controversial figures, DaBaby and Marilyn Manson, as some sort of statement on cancel culture. DaBaby has been under fire for his perceived homophobic comments during Rolling Loud Miami in July and Manson is facing sexual assault allegations by 15 different women.
Toward the end of the dramatic event, Kardashian waltzed on to Soldier Field wearing a white wedding gown to greet Kanye who finally removed his full-face mask to reveal a smile. But according to People magazine, the former Keeping Up With The Kardashians star wouldn’t have participated had she known Manson was going to be a participant.
A source reportedly claims Kardashian “isn’t happy” with Kanye for pulling the stunt and had no idea Manson was there.
“She was seated inside a suite facing the back of the house on the stage so she would not have been able to see them at all from her vantage point,” the source said. “She wasn’t in the loop at all about what was happening at the show. She was only aware of what Kanye had asked her to do, and she was willing to help him.”

The source added, “Kanye will always be family to Kim. When Kanye is doing well and is happy, it benefits the kids. Kim is the first one to support his visions. He asked her to be part of the listening event and she said yes without hesitation. She didn’t know that Marilyn Manson would be there too.
“She understands why there is backlash. Kim is all about positive publicity. She would have never participated if she knew Manson would be there.”
Kim Kardashian filed for divorce in February following Kanye’s failed bid for president. The couple married in 2014 and have four children together — North, Chicago, Saint and Psalm. TMZ reports the divorce isn’t exactly set in stone, though. Sources close to the couple say they are “privately” working on their relationship and could possibly reconcile.
