K Fed Hits the Clubs

    When Britney Spears’ husband Kevin Federline announced his intentions to join the rap world, many laughed. Dubbed, K-Fed the dancer/rapper drew Vanilla Ice comparisons. So, what does he do to prove nay sayers wrong? He’ll hit the clubs.

    His debut, Playing With Fire has been a work-in-progress for a long time. Instead of doing the usual listening sessions with producers and friends, Federline has decided to let fans have a say in what’s hot in Fire. According to an interview with MTV, he’ll soon take advance copies of his album to see how crowds react to each track. He’ll pick his songs according to enthusiasm from the crowds.

    No date has been finalized for the release of his album and no scheduled tour stops have been confirmed.

    Another celebrity working on new material is Mariah Carey. The star’s working on a musical, which she will be involved in from the ground up. Carey will serve as producer, creator and star in what she feels may be going to Broadway. Before the show hits the stage, it will be a television movie, but he sights are set on theatre.

    I don’t want to say [it’s] a television movie, because it’s not like a cheesy network movie, but then it’s going to be made for the Broadway production. So the [TV movie] will set the stage for the stage,” she has said of the project.

    While on MTV Radio, she went on to explain that the work will contain some pieces from 1994’s along with brand-new material.
