Since TI has a new movie and album out on the streets, it’s fitting that he plans to tour. The surprise isn’t in the tour, it’s his supporting cast.
T.I.P. plans a huge Southern movement and he hopes fellow Southern emcees will back him.
According to an interview with MTV, the Trapper wants to expand a Southern union which would combine some notable forces in the Hip-Hop world. “I want to do a Leaders of the New South tour. Me, Cris, UGK, probably Boyz N Da Hood, Jeezy, Trick Daddy, Mike Jones, Paul Wall. Whoever wanna come. Slim Thug, Young Buck — I just got off the phone with Buck — Killer Mike, Big Boi and them. Lil Jon,” he said of the event.
He went on to plead for various acts to join him in solidifying a strong unity amongst like-minded rappers from the region. “Come on, let’s get it like they used to do back in the old days on the East Coast,” he pleaded. “Leaders of the New South is like union. Ni–as is connected. As time goes on, the union gets bigger. I remember when it was just me, Bone Crusher, Killer Mike and Lil Jon. It’s spreading out like wildfire.”
TI has also been seen sporting some clothes by Fabolous.
According to a press release, F-A-B has started a new company, Rich Yung Society, which brings exclusive and expensive clothing that celebrates a rich lifestyle, as well as Japanese urban culture. The demand has reportedly been so high that the few stores that carry the brand have been selling out.
