Juvenile is the latest artist to take issue with the flyer for this year’s Lovers & Friends Festival, especially since his name’s no it and he’s not been paid.

On Wednesday (January 31), the original Hot Boy took to Instagram to call out organizers of the Las Vegas festival for his inclusion on the promotional materials for the 2024 edition — which was announced last week.

“Here we go again, man” Juvie began his video. “These cats at Lovers & Friends — whoever in charge of Lovers & Friends, man, y’all doing bad business, man. Y’all done put my name on a flyer and y’all know you ain’t sent me no deposit, ain’t sent me no bread or nothin’.

“[Y’all] keep on playing games, talking ’bout y’all gonna get back at me. Look, y’all playing games with the wrong muthafucka, man. If y’all gon’ book me — if y’all not gon’ book me, take my muthafuckin’ name off y’all flyer. I ain’t got no problem with that, I could do something else with my time.”

He concluded: “I ain’t trippin’. But don’t put my fuckin’ name on y’all flyers if y’all know you ain’t paid me no money. That’s fucked up.”

Lovers & Friends Festival has faced similar criticism almost every year since its inaugural event announcement in 2020. That first year — which was later canceled in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic — felt the wrath of Lil Kim, Twista and Ma$e, all three of whom denied being involved in the festival.

Following the announcement for this year’s event, Ma$e once again took to social media to voice his disapproval with events putting his name on bills he hadn’t been paid for, demanding his name be removed from any that are advertising his presence.

While he didn’t name names, it appeared Ma$e’s PSA may have been sparked by the 2024 Lovers & Friends Festival lineup announced just hours before, as it included him, his It Is What It Isco-host Cam’ron, and many more.

Mary J. Blige also spoke out about her inclusion on the bill, making it clear that she would not be taking the stage at the Las Vegas festival in May.

“I am beyond humbled by the response from all of you about the announcement of me on Lovers & Friends Festival,” she wrote on her Instagram Story. “Unfortunately my inclusion was an error as I will be busy in preparation for my Strength of a Woman Summit just one week later!”

However, on Sunday (January 28), TMZ reported that the Queen of Hip Hop Soul has since been re-added to the lineup.

Fans were wondering what the mix-up was all about until MJB took to her Instagram stories on the same day to imply that the dispute involved money.
