Ma$e is letting it be known loud and clear that any announcement about him performing in 2024 is not official.

Taking to his Instagram Story on Tuesday (January 23), Murda demanded his name be removed from any flyers that are advertising his presence.

“Take my name off any and all flyers for 2024,” he wrote. “Anybody who tries to make any deals without me physically present is not at all any official business of mine. LET IT BE CLEAR ‘Nobody’ has the right to talk for me. Nobody? NOBODY!!! Whether you think I know them or I have worked with them in the past or not!”

While he didn’t name names, it appears Ma$e’s PSA may have been sparked by the 2024 Lovers & Friends Festival lineup announced just hours earlier, as it includes him, his It Is What It Is co-host Cam’ron, and many, many more.

This is actually the second time the Lovers & Friends Festival announced Ma$e on the lineup before the ink was seemingly dry. Back in 2020 when they unveiled their inaugural lineup, Ma$e commented, “Best of wishes on this show but pls take my name off this flyer.”

Lil Kim also called the festival out at the time, posting the flyer on her Instagram Story and writing, “This is SO FAKE! I am not a part of this.”

The show would end up being delayed by two years because of the pandemic, but it ultimately went on in 2022 – with both Ma$e and Kim performing after all.

In other Ma$e news, the rapper-turned-pastor revisited his short-lived religious career recently on a show he was actually booked for, leading a full out prayer session on stage.

After a performance in New Zealand, the 48-year-old rapper signed off with a heartfelt Christian prayer that involved support from the packed outdoor crowd.

“I’m praying that 2024 is the best year of your life,” he told the sea of people in front of him, before asking them to repeat his words. “Dear Lord, I believe you died on the cross for my sins and I accept you as my Lord, as my savior.

“I’m healed, I’m delivered, I’m rich, all is well, nothing is broken and nothing is missing. All 2024.”

Ma$e famously retired from music following the release of his sophomore album Double Up in 1999, telling Funkmaster Flex during an interview on Hot 97 that he was following a calling from God. However, in 2014, following his divorce, the rapper left the El Elyon International Church — which, according to TMZ, was split between Atlanta and Phoenix — and returned to his original calling.
