Justin Timberlake Thanks His Fans For Their Support Following DWI Arrest

Justin Timberlake was arrested for driving while intoxicated earlier this week, and he has now expressed his gratitude to those who haven’t stopped believing in him.

On Friday (June 21), the 43-year-old took the stage at the United Center for the first of two nights in the city of Chicago. During the set, he took a moment to reflect on his mistakes while showing his love to those in attendance.

“We’ve been together through ups and downs, lefts and rights,” he told the crowd, who subsequently gave him a standing ovation as he got visibly emotional. “It’s been a tough week, but you’re here, and I’m here.

“I know I’m hard to love sometimes but you keep loving me right back.”

In mid June, the global superstar was arrested in New York and arraigned the following day.

The “Cry Me A River” hitmaker was pulled over by the Sag Harbor Police Department after he “was observed operating a 2025 BMW southbound on Madison Street, failing to stop at a duly posted stop sign and failing to maintain his lane of travel.”

Timberlake allegedly refused a breathalyzer, as his lawyer Edward Burke Jr. later stated: “The charge was a single count because he refused the breath test. Mr. Timberlake was also charged with two other court citations, running a stop sign and not traveling in the correct traffic lane.”

He later added: “[We] look forward to vigorously defending Mr. Timberlake against these allegations. He will have a lot to say at the appropriate time. He is currently awaiting full discovery from the DA’s office.”

The police report on the incident states: “It was ascertained that the defendant was operating said vehicle in an intoxicated condition in that his eyes were bloodshot and glassy, a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emanating from his breath, he was unable to divide attention, he had slowed speech, he was unsteady afoot, and he performed poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests.”

Legal documents quote JT saying: “I had one martini and I followed my friends home.”

His next court appearance is scheduled for July 26, which is also when he’s scheduled to perform in Poland as part of his Forget Tomorrow Tour.

    1. Am I missing something? Why is this such a big deal? Celebrities drive under the influence all the time.

      1. Man been losing stardom status. And PR trying really hard to keep him looking good. Media loves when celebs endure same hardships as a regular citizen, to show that they aren’t high and mighty. He’ll get through this easier than the common person. Hyping support for him publicly ensures that he doesn’t have to endure hard consequences as well as protect his brand.

    2. Prayers up to the big homie JT during these difficult times. I love to twerk my little booty off to his music, no lie
