Justin Bieber is sticking up for Kanye West, explaining that he’s got a bad reputation but good intentions. Speaking with XXL Magazine, the teen pop star defended Yeezy based on his experience in the studio with the G.O.O.D. Music chief.
“I got to be in the studio with him and work with him and see how he works and talk to him—and talk to him as a friend, and not like someone [in] business,” he said. “He’s not really an asshole, like everyone makes him out to be. I mean, he can, he can do bad things, but he’s really generally a good guy.
“He can make bad decisions, you know, as well as everyone can,” he continued, “but generally I think he is a good guy.”
Kanye and Bieber previously collaborated on the remix to the latter’s “Runaway Love,” 
which also featured Raekwon. ‘Ye tweeted a picture from the session, referring to Bieber as his “new beat protégé.”
