Juicy J Announces Possible Retirement From Rap

With his upcoming album, THC: The Hustle Continues, set for release at some point in July, Juicy J took to Twitter yesterday and hinted that he might retire from making music following the release.

The longtime Three Six Mafia rapper and producer signed a partial ownership and A&R deal with Wiz Khalifa’s Taylor Gang Records in 2011 and in one Tweet Juicy J plays with the idea of doubling down on the role, writing, “I been having thoughts about retiring from rap & becoming a CEO at a major label to help others in the music buisness.” The announcement comes less than a month after news that J has been tapped as a co-executive producer on A$AP Rocky’s next full-length.

Juicy J began with a reference to his Oscar win as a part of Three Six Mafia in 2005 and ended the Tweets by writing, “music money fame etc. is a job but it’s not real life.”

    1. u wont be missed bro, you peaked a long time ago. no one wants to hear a 50 year old rapping about mollys, lean and weed

    2. He dumb if he retire now. Been in the game for over 20 years and finally getting mainstream shine, features on Pop artists songs. He should milk that for the next 2-3 years. Get enough to retire and then just tour when you wanna make some extra $ and get laid by groupies.

    3. If only the rest of these 90’s rappers would retire as well. I respect juicy j for knowing that his time is up and moving on. All you old heads need to move the fuck on especially wu tang clan. And all you 90’s kids that still can’t let go of the past move the f on. Stop wearing oversized pants and hating on everything. go some swag get a girl a job and a life you hasBins.
