Joey Bada$$ has flexed his brawn for the ‘gram with an explosive left hook that has left fans of the Brooklyn rhymer impressed.

On Saturday (July 29) a video surfaced on social media of the “Let It Breathe” rapper having a go on the popular “Boxer” arcade machine, where he racked up a whopping 895 points with his lethal left hook.

“Whoo!” the person filming can be heard saying as they zoom in on the punching bag, displaying JayOhVee’s score — a sentiment shared by fans who reacted to the footage in the comment section of the clip reposted by 2cool2bl0g on Instagram.

“That mane got a arm fr,” wrote one user. “Damn he killed it [one hundred emoji],” commented another.

On the music front, Joey Bada$$ was recently announced as one of a handful of heavy-hitters scheduled to perform at this year’s AFROPUNK festival in Brooklyn.

The annual arts festival will make its way back to New York City this summer but with a few alterations. The two-day event will no longer occupy Commodore Barry Park and instead take over Greenpoint Terminal Market.

Additionally, the gathering will be held together by a theme, “CIRCUS OF SOUL – transforming the riverside blacktop into a carnivalesque exhibition that spotlights all aspects of Black creativity, soundtracked by music that speaks to the heart of the Black experience.”

Jazmine Sullivan and Flying Lotus have bagged the two headliner slots for the last weekend of August. Other performers slated to hit the main stage include Compton rapper Vince Staples, Tobe Nwigwe and many more.

Regarding the cultural significance of the event, the organizers said: “AFROPUNK isn’t just about the music, it’s a community of people who reject societal norms and embrace their true selves, no matter what anyone else thinks.

Bada$$ also recently lent his lyricism to Statik Selektah‘s new album, Round Tripalongside industry heavyweights such as Logic, and several Wu-Tang Clan members.
