Joe Budden has attempted to bury the hatchet with Kai Cenat, but he didn’t quite get the response he was looking for.

On Thursday (August 15), Cenat appeared on a livestream with Budden’s podcast co-host QueenzFlip, who put the two personalities on the phone with each other in effort to clear the air.

During the phone conversation, Budden tells Kai: “I got all the love in the world for Kai Cenat. That is a myth. Don’t ever believe otherwise. Kai Cenat, I love you, everything you’re doing. My kids love you. Don’t ever believe Joe Budden don’t love you.”

Cenat did not appear overly convinced by Budden’s olive branch, though, replying: “Alright, Joe. I just be thinking that you don’t love me, bruh.”

After being pressured by QueenzFlip to accept the peace offering, Cenat repeatedly said: “Alright, Joe!”

When Budden hung up, however, the Twitch star immediately said: “I feel like he’s capping, though.”

Joe Budden had earlier criticized the popular streamer for his ill-fated PlayStation 5 giveaway in New York City last year, which descended into a riot that led to multiple injuries and arrests.

“That stunt he pulled on 14th Street in Union Square — that’s where it started for me,” he said while discussing Cenat on Lil Yachty‘s A Safe Place Podcast earlier this month. “On a Friday on 14th Street, Union Square, New York City, as a n-gga that operates from Atlanta. Yes, I had a big issue with that as a New Yorker.”

The former Slaughterhouse rapper also previously tore into Cenat for not knowing who Killer Mike is during an episode of his podcast in February.

“Y’all little streaming n-ggas don’t always run shit! Shut the fuck up! We don’t care about none of that lil’ streamy moshpit, marked card, whatever you n-ggas is doing over there. U-fucking-topia? U-nopia, n-gga,” he yelled, referenced the streamer’s claim that Travis Scott should have won the Grammy for Best Rap Album instead of Mike.

He continued: “I’m just so happy that the little fuckety fucks finally have a look in the mirror moment and say, ‘Oh, it’s not about us!’ No, adults are out, n-gga! […] N-ggas got fly shit on, real execs, business people.

“Shut up for a change. I’m so sick of these n-ggas. We gotta rush behind Killer Mike. Killer Mike won, we gotta let these n-ggas know what the fuck we really think.”

Cenat later hit back, saying: “What we have here is a case of old n-gga syndrome […] Stop talking about streaming n-ggas like we some lil’ n-ggas, bro. I could buy you, my n-gga. Do you understand that?”

After admitting that he was wrong for not doing his “research” on Killer Mike, Kai added: “I could pull up like 20 clips of you doubting every 2016 [XXL] Freshman, and look at them boys right now […] You got one hit, Joe! ‘Pump it up!’ No offense to your career and shit like that, but come on, bro!”
