Jim Jones is highly impressed by Drake’s most recent offering, and he has singled it out as the best album of year.

ComplexCon 2023 took place in Long Beach last month and hosted some of the biggest names in Hip Hop. On Friday (December 1), Complex shared a compilation video from the event that features rappers naming their top record of the year, and the Dipset MC seemed to have his answer ready.

“That extendo clip that Drake just dropped got real spooky on n-ggas,” he said about For All The Dogs Scary Hours Edition, before adding: “Rick Ross [and] Meek Mill — oooh fire!”

Another LP that was brought up several times was Travis Scott’s Utopia, which was chosen by T.I., SoFaygo and Eem Triplin.

Last week, For All the Dogs reclaimed the top spot on the Billboard 200 thanks to a boost from its add-on, Scary Hours 3. Drake released the six-song EP as the deluxe edition of his eighth LP earlier this month, helping the album surge from No. 4 to No. 1 on the late-November chart.

According to Billboard, ForAll the Dogs Scary Hours Edition earned 145,000 album-equivalent units in its opening week, beating out Taylor Swift’s 1989 (Taylor’s Version) (138,000).

Funnily enough, the opening track of the new batch of songs features the OVO boss rapping: “Taylor Swift the only n-gga that I ever rated/ Only one could make me drop the album just a little later/ Rest of y’all, I treat you like you never made it.”

Per Chart Data, Drake’s record has now surpassed one million units in the United States, making it eligible for platinum certification (although the RIAA has yet to issue it a plaque).
