Jim Jones has thrown down the gauntlet and challenged Cam’ron to settle their differences in the boxing ring.
The Dipset rapper appeared on The Breakfast Club on Thursday (February 27) where he was asked about his recently rekindled feud with Killa Cam.
While Capo largely downplayed the drama with his former groupmate, who he referred to as his “brother” for life, there was one comment in particular that got under his skin.
“You don’t get no credit for [jumpstarting careers]. They say all Jim do is send people to jail,” Charlamagne Tha God said, referencing Cam’ron’s recent taunt on his sports talk show It Is What It Is.
“How I send people to jail? How?! What are these n-ggas smoking? They smoking new drugs out here!” Jones shot back.
When Charlamagne clarified that the claim was made by Cam, the “We Fly High” hitmaker grew heated and challenged his former Diplomatic to a fight — for the right price, of course.
“He’s a birdhead. He don’t want no smoke. I’ll box his head off. Where’s the ring at?” he said. “You getting money, right? $10 million right now. Today, n-gga. I’ll catch a flight wherever you at. You with Mayweather and ’em. $10 million. I’ll meet you in any boxing ring.”
He added: “Now go make some jokes about that on your next show. I’ll box your head off. You know that. Don’t play with me. Now go type about that.”
Jim Jones and Cam’ron’s complicated relationship soured once again last month after the latter revisited Dipset’s well-documented split in an interview with 50 Cent.
Irked by Cam and 50 (who were once rivals themselves) joking about the time Jones betrayed Killa by performing with the G-Unit boss, Capo went on the offense.
“Them n-ggas be on my dick,” he snapped on Justin Laboy’s Respectfully podcast. “Them n-ggas ain’t got nothing else to think about but Capo. I did a lot for them n-ggas in their life, ya heard? Both of them. Pause, though. Get off my dick!”
That prompted Cam’ron to launch into a lengthy and explosive rant on It Is What It Is, in which he questioned Jim Jones’ Harlem ties, downplayed his role in Dipset’s success and accused him of exploiting his friends and artists instead of helping them escape the streets.
“Stop tricking n-ggas out of their freedom, bro. ‘Cause n-ggas get around you to put theirselves in better situations, not to be in worst situations than before they met you. You send them on dummy missions and trick them out of their freedom,” he said.
Jones later took the beef to wax, addressing Cam on his song “Jomo” which will appear on his new album At the Church Steps (out Friday, February 28).
Jones would win he’s scrappier
No he’s just smellier. All he has to do is just be in the proximity of Camron and he’d pass out 🦨. To make it a fair fight, make Stinky Jimmy take a 🚿🛁🫧🧼 first.
Does anyone ever accept these boxing challenges?
Nah, I say settle it on the basketball court, at 138th Street and Lenox Ave with hood rules. Carry on!!!
