The 18-track project boasts several appearances from Capo himself, as well as newcomers like Dyce Payso, Mr. Chicken, Ditta, Tim Vocals, AlleyCat TheRapper, Dilla Illa, 34Zeussy and Keen Streetz.

The album is tied together by rib-tickling skits from comedian Rayy Rayy, the newest member of the Vampire Life family.

“Comedy and music has always been synonymous for me. One compliments the other,” Jones said in a press release. “I’ve been watching Rayy Rayy grind and make so many people laugh since I’ve first noticed him during the pandemic.

“He’s helped with the decision to start signing comedians — not verbally through conversation, but through his comedy. So when I decided to make 12 Days of Xmas, it was only right I have Rayy Rayy host for his debut on Vamp Life Comedy.”

12 Days of Xmas isn’t just a Christmas album by name; the holiday spirit seeps through into the music, with “Xmas Eve” anchored by a Christmas piano melody and “Big Gifts” blending traditional Christmas caroling with New York’s signature drill sound.

Jim Jones is no stranger to putting his love for Christmas on wax having previously released A Dipset Xmas in 2006, before following up with A Tribute To Bad Santa Starring Mike Epps in 2008 alongside his Skull Gang collective.

12 Days of Xmas caps off a busy year for the Dipset don, who continued his late-career resurgence with the release of two full-length projects in 2022: We Set the Trends, a Gangsta Grillz mixtape hosted by DJ Drama, and The Lobby Boyz, a joint album with Maino.

Capo has grown his catalog even further with a string of singles, including “Rich Hustle” with Fabolous, “Gunshot” with Hitmaka and BEAM, and a star-studded “We Set the Trends” remix featuring Lil Wayne, Migos, Juelz Santana and DJ Khaled.
