Meek Mill, who is friends and business partners with both Rubin and Jay, added: “I had that million dollar convo with Jigga in that same house i pray it works lol.”
Rubin later posted videos from the meeting which featured soundbites of advice from Brady and JAY-Z.
“Your talent gets you there; your work ethic and discipline take you to where you want to be,” the Roc Nation mogul told the rookies.

He also said: “You gotta know who you are ’cause those moments are gonna come. You’re gonna be down 28-0 and you gotta say, ‘Aright, I know who I am. I’ma go get it.'”
“You’re gonna evolve or you’re not. You’re gonna keep evolving or you’re not. And if you’re not, the world still spins. If you’re forever curious, you’ll always keep getting better,” he added.
The meeting also revived the age-old social media question: $500K or dinner with JAY-Z?

“I’m in the last week of recording, finishing it and one of my managers, who’s a Jedi master, a legend in this industry, Gee Roberson goes like, ‘I’m pulling up. We’re going to dinner,'” he said on Carmelo Anthony and The Kid Mero’s 7PM in Brooklyn podcast.
Though he was inclined to say no because he was laser-focused on completing his album, the Bay Area rapper eventually agreed to go.
“I still don’t know where we’re going or why the dinner,” he continued. “I’m not in New York to have dinner. I’m here to finish this. We’re going and the whole drive there, I’m like, ‘Brother, how are you going to tell me what?’
“We get to the spot and the hostess says, ‘Can I help you?” And [Roberson] goes, ‘Yeah, we’re at Shawn Carter’s table.’ I’m like, ‘Dog, the fuck?’

“I sit down and [JAY-Z’s] in the corner and he just looks up at me and he’s like, ‘How’d you get here? What’s your story?’ I started panicking. But then we just got into the convo and it was a life-changing kind of evening.”
