Last night, Jay-Z headed to Brooklyn, New York’s Barclays Center to open his 40/40 Club inside the stadium.
On hand during the festivities were Rihanna, J. Cole, Lyor Cohen and more. Speaking to MTV News on the red carpet, Hov explained what the club and stadium mean to New York City and how everything was down to the wire.
“I walked around here earlier and I just seen everybody busy and at work trying to finish up and it was a great feeling,” he said. “A guy stopped me in the hallway and said, ‘Man this is a great thing for New York City.’ And that’s what the whole thing was about.”
Jigga will open the stadium tonight with a headlining performance, the first of eight.

Where the next Jay Album???? F**K EVERYTHING ELSE
Good to hear, this is wonderful Jay
When Jay retires, he needs to write a book called “How To Stay Winning”, cause no one’s had a run like him or pulled off half the shit he did.
@HHFan. Homie I know Jay been winning, but Puff’s been winning longer.Do your research
Puff is winning longer because he started 5 years earlier than Jay. Jay’s ventures is at par if not, ahead, with Puff’s. Jay went through more lanes. He was the artist, the product, and the ceo, he was the marketing plan, and he called the shots. Puff’s success trickled from Biggie’s empire. What and when was Puff’s last hit? What venture of his really blew? Cassie? and don’t say ciroc lol
Joell Ortiz is opening a Dunkin Doughnuts in Brooklyn. Where’s the press for that?
