Jay-Z & Kanye West’s “Ni**as In Paris” Goes Triple Platinum, “No Church In The Wild” Goes Gold

It’s been over a year since Jay-Z and Kanye West released Watch the Throne, but tracks from the album are still going strong.

“Niggas in Paris,” one of the most popular tracks from the album, hit the triple platinum mark with digital sales eclipsing the 3 million units sold, reports HHNM.

The awards didn’t stop there, however, as the duo scored a gold plaque for “No Church in the Wild,” the album’s opening track. “No Church in the Wild” has been prominently featured in advertisements for cars, movies, and other products since Watch the Throne‘s release. The song features Frank Ocean.

“Niggas in Paris” became a fixture in Hov and Yeezy’s concerts, leading the duo to perform it as much as eleven times during their live shows.

    1. Them old heads had to do about 200 promo shows and spend millions in marketing dollars, just for a single to sell 3 million…lol

      1. them old heads put that work in of course they moved units you young heads drop 30 singles before the album is released and a week later its all crickets

      2. them young cats drop 5 singles that all go at least gold and they don’t have to spend all those millions in marketing dollars that jay z had to spend.

      3. 3m in sales and a worldwide tour that they get PAID FOR DOING means they SPENT MONEY? I’ve heard “No Church In The Wild” more on commercials than radio (Budden killed that beat BTW). What kind of stupidity are you people willing to spread just for the sake of getting attention?

    2. The biggest question is: why didn’t they ever make a proper video for NIP? Would’ve helped the sales immensely.

      1. that’s the point, it blew up internationally with no video

and yes there is a video, they only did the live version cause the track was overplayed by that point

      2. There is a video, perhaps a live version to give the people what impression it has on the masses isn’t good enough for you.

    3. Like someone below said Jay & ye will always do numbers because they know how to build anticipation, while most rappers are dropping a freestyle every other day, mixtape every month, the most you will see from Jay is a scene stealing guest verse & even those are rare also they put out quality albums
