Jay Z Hops On Fat Joe & Remy Ma’s Official “All The Way Up (Remix)”

Jay Z and Fat Joe don’t have the friendliest of backstories but what heavyweight rappers do during their ascension to greatness?

Today, May 24, marks a special day for New York Hip Hop (and the game in general) as S. Carter has joined forces with Fat Joe and Remy Ma on the remix to one of the (if not the) hottest rap joints of the year, “All the Way Up.”

Beyonce’s hubby doesn’t rap much these days so when he breaks his silence to hop on a beat, you can best believe he checks off all the current events on his lyrical Rolodex (he name drops the Lemonade success while paying homage to the late Guru, turns Prince’s final moments into a metaphor, etc.) just in case you thought he doesn’t have his ear to the street.

Remy Ma is her usual bar-dismembering self, employing a count-off rhyme scheme to make her presence felt, while Fat Joe holds both verses together.

The decision to record the remix was seemingly made at Beyonce’s recent Formation Tour pit stop in Los Angeles, where Joey and Jigga shared an Instagram moment complete with the song used as the caption hashtag.

    And now we’re here.

      1. Drake gave you 20 songs with 17 remixes of one song all one album, and dished it out to over a million people…quite impressive huh?

    1. We weren’t wondering… We were hoping they took the camera guy off the hook. Lame ass French Montana

    2. since when does a hov verse make a song worse. Wow. That’s a let down. Should have got Curtis on this one

      1. I thought the exact same thing, but perception blinds truth. #Iamadiehardjigga fan before anyone says am hating. His anticipated broken his silence is premature on this the next album better be what we are use to Hov!

    3. That was dope, Hov talks that BIG talk and backs it up. And he’s thorough enough to address shit in the media. ???? ???? ????

    4. Another L for Nas. Remember Fat Joe talking about Nas leaving him in the dust? So who does he turn to for a hot remix? King HOV.

      1. I’m talking about Drake being bitter for not getting a proper Jay verse for that Pop Style song, obviously..

      2. Who needs a Jay -z verse anyways.. Lmao. Juelz Santana is catching enough buzz to relaunch his career because of a Drake name drop…

    5. Now y’all wanna pay attention to flow, wordplay, and “structure” when Hov delivers a verse? All the bullshit melodies and jingles and copy flows for the last 3 summers? Hov came through looking like Him,this shit felt like a cypher it felt like a radio freestyle this is Fresh Air.

    6. Crack like ‘this time I’m not going finger roll Pat Ewing’, Hard!
Remy just ate. Nicki don’t won’t no problem with her at all.
Fux with Jigga. Good to hear a fresh verse from him.
      The summer just hot out!

    7. Jay z sounds offbeat…. Didn’t need this kinda remix wtf was that no hating, just isn’t jay z style lyrics and flow

      1. No dumb ass he is lazy. And so was that verse. Damn how do people stick up for their favorite rappers even tho this is clearly a terrible verse with horrible structure?

      2. Horrible structure? Horrible structure? Let me guess you make music, or no you are a producer, hold up you know music, the art real hip hop? Nigga please! it’s a verse on a remix stop acting like you’re Rick Rubin or some shit tryna “grade” a perfect verse. Stupid shit like “horrible structure” is fuckin the game up have everybody sounding the same making jingles and shit. How many times you been punched in your face?
        Fuckin Nerd

    8. wtf is Jay talkin bout… we been toleratin you for a decade, retire already overrated piece of shit.

    9. How u d best rapper that been doing It for over 20 years now TERROR SQUAT MUSIC ALL D WAY UP

    10. Jay took the phrase “all the way up” and made a whole verse about shit that’s related to the word “up.” Airlines have planes that go up. Airplane hats and gold bottles. He wears that bucket with the planes on it, and drinks gold bottles while flying over other niggas. UP in meetings nobody else be at. Penthouse floor, call your way up. Means he LIVES “up,” while other dudes just visiting. C’mon y’all. He KILLED Fat Joe and Remy.

      1. Word! Also he recycled the “lemonade” line for all those “hip hop” heads while being witty about the album. And speaking of the UP references he slid in the elevator line so that was triple entendre (Prince, Solange, All the Way Up) I mean really Hov came through as he should have

    11. nobody went crazy on this. great comeback? sure…. OG status? (all 3) absolutely….. crazy bars? no. Remy is the leader here. jay and joe just played with it. that said…. all 3 are solidified….. but this song is a forced hit. this wouldnt be a hit if done by a nobody. #salute

    12. Remy fine as fuck. Way too fine for that alien head lookin nigga Pap. She most definatly got herself a side nigga or two.

    13. Everyone thinking Jay-Z’s verse was whack, PLEASE go to rap genius and decode the lyrics. The lyrics are mindblowing! You just have to get the extremely clever references Jay throws casually into his verse. Jay plays with the theme of “Up” in his verse, exploring the different meanings of being up or high and uses the elevator as the device in his verse for “taking up” the listener through the verse.

      Simply brilliant.

    14. How were they not cool? I know about the basketball thing, but didn’t Pun and Jay have beef too?

    15. jay-z? really? he’s old and washed up now. they should’ve put drake on the remix instead. he would’ve killed this harder than jay. then the remix would be making noise all summer. jay-z verse will be forgotten by next week.

    16. Cool verse from everybody. Hov just addressed the bullshit everybody been talking about. Now y’all can move on from it.

    17. Surprise collabs like this are what make hip hop great. This doesn’t happen nearly enough anymore.

      1. Fat Joe reached out to Noreaga to reach out to bleek to try to get jayz on it for nyc so stop the hate

    18. The prince metopher The plane The grammy cup. Blue comparision to pac. Joe Pat Ewing, he gonna win the chip this time around, Rem 7-6 cuff was really really locked down. Just to catch a few bars.

And yall say its wack. Eat some breakfast first lol. Shoutout to nore and bleek for making this happen. Behind the scene shit

    19. Fat Joe needa stop frontin and bring the son of pun out so he could shine bright like his daddy did…nigga fuckin nigga just like pun was, fuckin amazing….

    20. Tight jeans wearing young thug loving ass auto tune, no lyrics,no bars, bitchmade, new niggas. Your era killed hip hop.
