Jack Harlow had a few choice words for Lil Nas X haters during his appearance on the Grammys red carpet on Sunday (April 3).
While walking along the red carpet, Harlow was asked by actress Laverne Cox about his Lil Nas X Grammy Award-nominated collaboration “Industry Baby,” which both parties were gearing up to perform later that night. Harlow had nothing but good things to say about his collaborator.
“I’m grateful to him, you know?” the “Nail Tech” rapper told Cox. “I’m performing with him tonight. It was a collaboration but, you know, I owe him a lot for this moment so I love him for that.”
The former Orange Is The New Black star then asked Harlow for his response to those who have criticized Lil Nas X’s homosexuality.
“Wake the fuck up,” he said. “Fuck’s wrong with you? It’s ridiculous. Yeah, I mean he’s trailblazing a path that you know, it’s sad it has to be trailblazed, but I think it’s amazing. He’s innovating the game and it’s fresh, it’s powerful and it’s necessary you know? So, I love it.”
Lil Nas X was nominated for five Grammys but ultimately lost all of them. He took to Twitter after the awards to jokingly declare he was no longer gay in the wake of his losses, writing, “Can’t believe I lost all my grammys. I am no longer gay!”
“Industry Baby” was up for Best Melodic Rap Performance but lost to Ye’s “Hurricane” featuring Lil Baby and The Weeknd. As for Jack Harlow and the Montero star, the pair gave a rambunctious performance of the track, drawing criticism online after they briefly simulated penis play onstage together.

he wasn’t super gay when he first dropped his little country rap song so a lot of folks felt tricked they let their kids listen and be a fan then all of a sudden he’s talking about loving other dudes. i’m not even interested that much in rappers that love the girls too much in the lyrics much less this dude and his preferences. if he’s rapping about his romantic affairs i’m not interested
There’s atleast 500,000 actual artists that are talented and deserve recognition. lol nas x is a industry political puppet, not known for his musical talents. No wonder ratings are quite low for Grammys these days
20 years ago if I saw a guy that looked like Jack Harlow on TV, I would have thought he was the 6th member of n-sync or some stunt guy from Jackass. Not even cuz he is white. Just look at him. What has Gen Z done to hip hop ?
