Commercial success is apparently not what The Weeknd is interested in bragging about as a new feature instead has him dragging Justin Bieber over his ex-girl, Selena Gomez.
“I think your girl, think your girl, fell in love with me. She said my fuck and my tongue gave her remedy,” The Weeknd sings on “Some Way” by Nav.
The Weeknd and the former Disney Channel star have been spotted getting cozy recently and she even reportedly spent $30,000 on a surprise birthday party for Starboy’s birthday earlier this week.
While Justin Bieber has been criticized for using the N-word back in the day, The Weeknd hints on the song that he has the street cred that his Canadian counterpart doesn’t.
“I just took that chick and I know you’re feeling some way,” he continues. “She just want a nigga like me, you feeling some way.”
Even Nav gets in a little shot on the track.
“The brown boy and the Starboy on a track / Haters gonna say this shit is wack,” Nav sings, in what seems to be an obvious reference to Bieber using the word to describe The Weeknd’s music in January.
Gomez and Bieber dated on and off for six years before officially breaking up in 2015.
