The younger brother of Pete Rock, who first appeared on Mecca & The Soul Brother before signing (with InI) to Elektra Records in the mid 1990s, will release the 11-song project on Redefinition Records.

In the last 19 years, Grap Luva’s work has appeared on albums from Marley Marl, Lone Catalysts and J-Live.

      1. Agreed. I still bump center of attention. Their music has had a profound effect on me. Its a shame we might never see hip hop in its purest form like that without tribute cd’s or concept albums (Nineteen ninety now). Anyway, you love real hip hop, pre order this now, from what I’ve heard in the previews its sounding great, I just want more grapstrumentals.

    1. news like this make me appreciate hiphopdx all over again. Sometimes all we get on here is the over saturated news about crappy artists, when you hear news about a cat like Grap Luva, it just makes me feel good that the editors are on the job (actually diggin for the news they report). Thank you DX, and God bless Grap for still maintaining in this fickle-ass-game
