Illogic & Blockhead “Capture The Sun” Full Album Stream

On April 16, two Underground Hip Hop veterans will team for their first collaborative outfit. Columbus, Ohio native and Greenhouse Effect alum Illogic will team with longtime Ninja Tune artist and Aesop Rock producer Blockhead for Capture The Sun. The album features Slug, Blueprint and Abstract Rude, and will be released on Man Bites Dog Records. The album was included in HipHopDX’s Most Anticipated Albums Of 2013.

“The title, Capture The Sun, comes from something my grandmother always told me: ‘Things delayed are not things denied,'” said Illogic in a press statement. “Things happen how and when they’re supposed to; the point is to go after your dreams no matter how out of reach they may seem, no matter what road blocks may get in your way. Keep going; keep moving.”

The pair previously worked together on multiple songs through the last decade, including two free EPs prior to the retail full-length. Preparing For Capture 1 & 2 are both available at Illogic’s Bandcamp page.

    1. Man I love free albums. This is the way the music industry needs to go, even if they cut average prices down to like $5 I bet they would get a lot more support, I know I would buy more music. Anyway, Illogic is tight and both those albums were ill (short though) so I’ll be checking for this one.

    4. How is it their first collaborative outfit if they’ve collaborated on two previous ep’s? Doesn’t make much sense to me. Trying to build up the hype a bit I’m guessing?
