Iggy Azalea looks like she’s ready to make headlines later this week, promising fans that she has something “scandalous” in the works.
In a tweet on Tuesday (January 10), the New Classic rapper shared the update in response to a fan asking for new music.
“Music?… summer. Scandalous shit?… Friday,” Azalea wrote.

The Australian native had already stirred up some controversy recently when she was linked to Tory Lanez prior to the rapper being imprisoned amid his trial with Megan Thee Stallion. While neither confirmed the rumors, they didn’t shy away from them either and fueled the fodder by posting each other on Instagram.
In October, Lanez referred to Azalea as “baby girl” when he thanked her in the caption of a post where he showed off a gift he’d received in celebration of his seventh studio album, Sorry 4 What.

Prior to that, the pair were spotted out at dinner in Miami over the summer and frequently commented on each other’s social media posts.
Iggy made comment about the rumors following a post from blogger Tasha K, who insinuated that she was neglecting her son with Playboi Carti to spend time with Lanez. However, she didn’t confirm or deny anything regarding their romance.

“I’m not having a family meal with anyone so that’s why I don’t get why it’s even a comment to begin with, like why/how is my son even a topic for her? Weird af,” she tweeted. “Clearly, I know Tory. We met in 2018 because we both write music in studios.
“Who I spend time with in private whether it be professionally, romantically or platonically isn’t something I need to give the internet updates on. My private life is not your business. Stop asking.”
In October, Lanez revealed plans to executive produce the Australian rapper’s upcoming studio album.
“The first FEMALE URBAN ALBUM I will EXECUTIVE PRODUCE will be @IGGYAZALEA Next Album!!!” Tory Lanez wrote. “I’ve been wanting to EP a FEMALE ARTIST’s ALBUM for a while… I want to RAISE THE BAR… On the BEATS, PRODUCTION & OVERALL EXPERIENCE of FEMALE ALBUMS… this is going to be fun.”
In response to people saying she shouldn’t be working with Tory, Iggy issued a tweet of her own.

“You’re all very welcome to speak your opinion freely about me… just as long as we all have an understanding: you are having a monologue & not a discussion with me – because (respectfully) my bills remain paid without your two cents,” she wrote.
It’s unclear where the album stands now as Tory Lanez remains behind bars. His sentencing has been set for February 28.
