50 Cent’s son, Marquise Jackson, has issued an emotional appeal to his father after he rejected his offer to resolve their long-standing issues.
Earlier this week, 50 appeared on The Breakfast Club and dismissed Marquise’s request for a face-to-face meeting, which came after his estranged son complained that the rapper’s $6,700-a-month child support payments weren’t enough to sustain his New York City lifestyle.
The G-Unit boss suggested his son’s desire for a “sit down” — which came during an interview with TMZ — was disingenuous and the 26-year-old was simply looking for “attention.”
But as Marquise made clear in an Instagram post on Thursday (October 20), he’s serious about mending fences with his father, despite being “blocked” by him on social media.
“Now y’all all see I tried to reach out to talk to my pops as a MAN in front of the [world] & behind the scenes,” his message began. “I have no phone number for you & You’ve had me blocked on social media for years so I can’t DM you personally & everybody that is mutual is scared to touch the topic bc they’re scared of you. This seems to be the only way to reach you.
“I’m not a kid anymore. No mommy involved. I don’t want nor need money from you. I stand on my own 2. I don’t like attention I had so many opportunities to get that and I choose not too. I saw the breakfast club interview and it didn’t sound like much accountability there just ego, blaming and more so about money as if you were the child in the situation.”
In 2013, 50 Cent disowned Marquise (who was 16 at the time) in a heated text message exchange that surfaced online. During his Breakfast Club interview, the Power mogul claimed those texts were intended for Marquise’s mother, 50’s ex-girlfriend Shaniqua Tompkins, who he believes was texting him on their son’s phone.
“Those text messages was ME I was waiting outside for you that was the day you broke my heart,” Marquise added. “I forgave you for it. I’m ready when you ready to sit down & talk.”
Marquise Jackson went onto address the controversial photo of him and Kyle McGriff, the son of Queens, New York drug lord Kenneth “Supreme” McGriff, who was allegedly involved in the attempted murder of 50 Cent in 2000.
The photo surfaced in 2018 and prompted 50 to say: “If both these little n-ggaas got hit by a bus, I wouldn’t have a bad day.” But according to Marquise, he was duped into taking the photo and reiterated it was snapped years earlier.

“I DON’T know that kid his friend asked for a pic he fanned out and held it for years,” he wrote. “Look at the tags in the picture everybody but me if that was what I was trying to do I would of posted it myself. The bozo said it himself we DIDN’T and DON’T know each other.
“Just a goofy clout chasing tryna sell shirts of his alleged dad who he don’t even got a jail visit pics with & hitting up people that know me tryna set up a event for some bread. But y’all think it’s about the attention & money for me right?”
He continued: “If I knew who he was I WOULDN’T have done that. I found out the same way the rest of y’all did. Y’all can stop the [cap] now. I APOLOGIZE to anybody that this photo may have hurt, but I wasn’t aware who he claims to be. I thought it was just a fan asking for a picture.
“Any other ‘enemies’ you’ve seen me in a pic with I’ve known them to be family damn near my entire life bc of my pops. You only know the Kid Marquise. COME MEET THE MAN. #nowyouknowthetruth #letsbreakthecycle.”
In his Instagram post, Marquise shared an old photo of him and 50 Cent in happier times, along with a video proving his father has him blocked on Instagram.
He also posted a clip of Kyle McGriff explaining he “didn’t even know” who Marquise Jackson was when they took the photo, along with somewhat recent DMs from the younger McGriff urging him to accept a $50,000 proposition. (His messages seemingly went unanswered.)
McGriff didn’t take kindly to being dragged into the spat and put Marquise Jackson on blast in an Instagram video. Taking issue with having his private messages and phone number leaked, he branded 50 Cent’s son a “fed” and warned him to delete the post.
His response continued on his Instagram Stories, where he called Marquise the “ultimate clout chaser” and demanded a fight, while slandering the actor’s mother.
“I know why that 6700 wasn’t enough your mother was spending that shit on surgery and Botox and tricking it on any guy that would look at her twice,” McGriff wrote. “I really know everything don’t play with me little boy.”
While 50 Cent has yet to respond to Marquise Jackson’s latest Instagram post, the Get Rich or Die Tryin’ rapper clapped back at his son’s original child support complaint in typical troll-like fashion.
In an Instagram video posted on October 13, 50 could be seen watching TV while relaxing in the tub in a German hotel when Marquise’s comments interrupted his program.
“This n-gga’s crazy,” he barked while turning the TV off in disgust. “You’re 25 years old; why are you still talking about child support?!”
50 Cent later answered a knock at his hotel room door and was greeted by his comrades Uncle Murda and Tony Yayo. “You know I don’t ask you for shit, man, but I was thinking,” Murda asked. “Could a n-gga get a little extra $6,700 a month?”
50 replied: “You n-ggas play too much” with a smirk.

What I find to be interesting is that 50 has made up with most of the people he’s had rap beef with but is still holding a grudge against his son.
