Tyrese and his Samantha Lee’s divorce has been anything but amicable. Now, the actor/singer reveals Lee has sent him a cease and desist order over a pair of social media posts.
Taking to Instagram Live on Saturday (September 17), the 43-year-old recapped the past two years of his divorce proceedings while outlining how he wanted to present a positive image of love while the world was engulfed in turmoil.
“I was just sent a cease and desist letter from my ex-wife’s lawyer,” he began between pulls of hookah. “Where do you get the balls? Do you know what it’s like to go two straight years and have everybody that loves you, everybody who has your back, including your attorney to tell you: don’t say nothing, don’t defend yourself, don’t clear your name, don’t speak on it, we’re gonna present it in court!

“She claims that I kicked her out of the house with my one-year-old baby, changed all the locks at the house and cut off the credit cards.”
But the Fast & Furious actor claimed he was in New Jersey working on a film and shot two music videos at the time.

On Thursday (September 15), Tyrese claimed Lee delivered “15 blatant lies under penalty of perjury” and was dragging out an “unexpected divorce” for the past two years.

He shared those thoughts in two videos to his Instagram Stories along with a video of a woman slipping and falling into mud and claimed he wouldn’t remove them.

At one point during the video, Tyrese questioned his purpose given the stress of the divorce from Lee.

“If my life was my wife and my family, and I don’t have that anymore, what am I still here for?” he asked.

Outside of the fight for his family, Tyrese has made amends with his girlfriend, model Zelle Timothy. The couple began dating in March 2021 after his split from Lee and briefly parted ways. At one point, Tyrese called Timothy a “snake” with powerful sexual energy.

I just want to be released from this strong devilish allure the sexual seduction of a masterful manipulator who knows how to [convince everyone that she’s not mean of there to KILL YOU],” Tyrese wrote in a since-deleted post. “Please God RELEASE ME – RELEASE ME FROM YOUR POISON RELEASE FROM YIUR STRONG HOLD RELEASE ME I BELONG TO THE KINGDOM……. I have SO MUCH MORE WORK TO DO.”
The couple found themselves spending time together on the beach for Labor Day, sharing touching messages and videos of them looking happy and in love.
